password protect albums in photos

Is there a way to create an album in Photos and lock it with a password? I'm on macOS 10.15/Catalina.

Thanks!

That is not a feature offered by Apple's Photos application.

You may want to move very private photos to a different photos library (Create additional photo libraries in Photos on Mac - Apple Support) and keep this library in a different user account with a different password or on a password protected sparse bundle, see:

Create a disk image using Disk Utility on Mac - Apple Support

Moving photos to a separate library will ensure, that they will not accidentally appear in searches or memories and keep them out of harms way. Even the Hidden album is not safe, because you could accidentally open the hidden album as well.
