My Smart Keyboard connected to my ipad is not working. The letters work but the special characters to the right of the letters do not. This is a question mark_. This is a colonÑ. This is a bracket + . How can I reset it_. Sorry, I would have typed a question mark but it doesn't work!
It also sometimes doesn't type at all and I have to disconnect and reconnect it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to settings > general > keyboard > hardware keyboard and tap over at the right edge. Make sure it is set to US and not "automatic" or "spanish iso". The changes you describe are what happens when your device thinks you want to use a Spanish ISO layout.
