File permissions issue within FCPX

I'm having permissions issues on PROJECTS within FCPX V10.4.8.

When trying to organize PROJECT clips within FCPX, and move them to an EVENT folder, i am getting an error telling me that I don't have permission to move the file/project.

This is a project that originated and was edited on the same machine/configuration that I am trying to organize the files within the FCPX browser.

Also, I find that i can't OPEN these project directly from within FCPX, and I have to go to the drive where they are stored and RIGHT-CLICK open w/FINAL CUT PRO.

Again, these issues are on projects that were started on the same machine with the original storage locations.

Yes . . . . They are all stored on a remote NAS on 10GigE direct connection.

So in the file/media/project browser window, you can organize clips, etc.

I created an "event" folder named "062820 Sermon", and I would like to move the highlighted files to that event folder to help organizing the edited projects.

The FULL DISK ACCESS worked for the original issue of having to open projects stored on the NAS via "open with . . ", but the issue of being able to RENAME a CLIP or PROJECT within FCP and getting a PERMISSIONS error is still confusing.

Little confessed. Do you mean you’re trying to move a library? You can’t move a project in the Finder. What exactly are you trying to move from where to where?

Make sure that FCP has "Full Disk Access" in System Preferences->Security & Privacy->Privacy.

Can’t help you. Might try fcp.co and give details of the NAS and the software it’s using.
