Auto correct feature

Why does auto correct capitalize various words over and above capitalizing after a period? Random words mid sentence. Anything I can do to stop this happening?

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you’re having trouble with words unexpectedly being capitalized on your iPhone. We’re happy to help.

You can try resetting your keyboard dictionary to see if that helps. To reset it, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Keyboard Dictionary.
