"Blue screen" twice a day

Since yesterday, after a short day at school, my Mac crushing and displaying the Mac's blue screen: the dark screen.

It is 6 years old MacBook, and I don't think it was hit in some point. Is there any alternative except reset it? (I've ordered AirPort TimeCapsule to backup and reset it, but it will be arrived in two months) I really don't have the budget for a new one or an expensive fix...

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

Hi idoks,

We understand you are intermittently experiencing a blank blue display.

We would recommend performing an NVRAM Reset and SMC Reset. You can learn how to do so here: Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac and How to reset the SMC of your Mac.

It may also be worth booting in Safe Mode. You can learn how to do so here: How to use safe mode on your Mac.

If the issue persists, we would recommend you reinstall macOS. You can learn how to do so here: How to reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery.

Hope this helps!

Hi idoks,

There are 2 ways to reinstall macOS, one leaves the data intact, and the other requires you to erase your hard drive before installing.

Either way, it is always recommend to have a backup of your data before proceeding with a reinstall.

If you are unable to make a backup, we would recommend waiting until you are able to, then proceeding with the steps outlined above.

Thanks again!
