Can I return 2 old iPads to Apple for charitable use?
I have 2 old iPads that aren't worth anything trade in wise, can I return them to Apple for charitable use.

iPads that reach their End Of Life can be returned to Apple for responsible recycling.
iPad models as old a your iPad2 are of little use to anyone. Apps for the older iPad models and versions of iOS are increasingly unavailable. The batteries will be unreliable - or be so old that their battery life is too poor to be useful.
If you do pass-on these old devices for reuse, subject to the caveats above, it is imperative that the iPad is properly prepared - as failure to do so will render them totally useless due to the active Activation Lock.
