I had 3 Iphone XR bought for myself and family a couple of weeks ago. We have not opened the packages as yet and I am thinking of returning them so that I can buy the latest Iphone 12 for myself and family. How do I go about returning them? Can I trade them in for the price that I bought them?
You have 14 days to return your phones. If you are within that time frame you can return them. If you are past 14 days you cannot return them. Apple doesn't waver on that at all. Opened or not doesn't make any difference.

You'd do far better selling them outright to someone.
You can trade them in but it is much less than what you paid.
