I am forced to forget a Bluetooth device before connecting to it almost every time to only specific devices

When I try connect certain Bluetooth devices to my iPhone 11 I’m forced to forget the device before it connects. For example my beats and home stereo will connect fine every time but my car stereo will sometimes forcing me to forget it before it connects and my waterproof headphones do it every time without fail. I didn’t have this problem with my last phone on any of these devices. Does anyone know what’s wrong and how to fix it?
