transfer old iphotos on external hard drive to ipad
I have old iPhoto’s on an external hard drive that I’d like to get to iCloud. Problem is my old iMac isn’t compatible so I’m considering buying a new Mac air or an iPad Pro. Any advice?

You would first need to use a modern Macintosh to migrate your iPhoto Library to Photos. Once this migration has occurred you could then use iCloud Photo Library which would allow you to seamlessly have you entire Photos Library on an iPad.
