horizontal lines flickering on bottom of screen on the apps

My MacBook Air has lines at the bottom glitching and I am not sure how they got their nor how to fix the screen. The part where it is glitching is not affecting the part of the screen it is on so it is not a big concern, it still allows be to press the apps that it is covering. However it is a big distraction on the screen and it does not look normal. I hope you can reply with directions on how I can fix this myself. Thank you, I hope all is well during these tough times.

Greetings, Chelseabarrera1.

After reviewing your post, it appears that your MacBook Air on macOS Mojave has developed a problem with the display. The bottom seems to "glitching", and we're glad to help with this.

How to reset the SMC of your Mac -- Depending on which model of Mac you're using, reset the System Management Controller following the directions for your Mac.  Test the issue once you're back to the desktop.

Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac -- If resetting the SMC didn't resolve the issue, reset the nonvolatile random-access memory (NVRAM) using the steps in this article.

Get Support — If neither of the steps corrected the issue, please contact Apple Support. After selecting this link, choose Mac notebooks and type "display" in the Search topics field. Select "Display not working as expected" from the Results, then choose how you'd like to start the conversation.

Take care.
