Does the IPad Support Using Live Photos As a Lockscreen?

So I found out about being able to use live photos as a lockscreen, and I have a 6th gen IPad. I've tried to set a live photo as a lockscreen, but it doesn't work. I also have 3D Touch enabled. Am I doing something wrong, or is it simply not compatible?
