When you buy your Apple Watch series 5 do you get a charger or do you have to buy separately

Yes, you will get a charger if you buy directly from Apple and it comes in the prepackaged box. I made one quickly here and it says that there's a charger with it.
It may be true for other places (since I got phones from both Verizon and T-Mobile that came with chargers) but I'm not sure. You can always see "what's in the box" on Apple and sometimes other websites. If you buy a used watch, it's up to the seller. I got an AW3 from Amazon for Christmas, and it came with a charger.
