I have been unable to create a split screen using the normal method of swiping up partially and selecting the second app, then sliding it over to either side of the screen. When I do that I still just see the original open app. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for any help

Have you tried a simple hard reset of your iPad by holding down both the Home and sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until your iPad goes to black and restarts with Apple logo, then release the buttons?

Perhaps not surprising. Not all Apps support Split and Slide Over views.
Many third-party Developers are slowly adding support, but given the relatively small size of even the larger iPad screens, not all Apps particularly lend themselves to these views.

It looks like one of the apps I am wanting to use, A medical app called MyChart, will not allow the split screen. I tried split screen with other apps and it’s fine. Thanks for your help
