Printer issue

My iPad has stopped finding my HP 8600 printer. It has worked without issue until today, nothing has changed and both devices are on the same network. Printer works fine from desktop .... ideas?

A restart of you WiFi Router - followed by a restart of your Printer and then iPad - will likely resolve the issue.


To restart your Router, disconnect power from the router for at least 30 seconds - then reconnect power to restart the router. After the router completes its reboot, force-restart the iPad:


  • On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
  • On an iPad with Face ID: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.




To restart your Printer, cycle its power.
