When Face ID will be supported in iPhone 8

Does everyone need Face ID on there iPhone 8 so request them for a new update including Face ID

The iPhone 8 does not have the required scanning hardware that enables FaceID. If FaceID just used an image it would be trivially easy to bypass with just a photo. On the phones that have Face ID you are identified by a 3D infrared scan of your face. That’s what the “notch” is for; it contains the IR emitters. Phones that don’t have that hardware can’t offer FaceID.
