Can I fold the magic keyboard complete around the back so that I can use the ipad in the normal tablet mode

No, it is not possible not mechanically possible to fold the keyboard back upon its self. The new iPad Magic Keyboard mechanism Is designed to support the iPad between 85 and 130 degrees.
