Erase old iPhone without affecting new one.

I want to clear my old iPhone but when I delete photos they delete from my new one please help?

Make sure you sign out of your iCloud before deleting your phone. It should be fine then.

I recently upgraded from iPhone 6 to iPhone 12mini.How do I decommission my old phone affecting my new phone. If I remove. /delete everything that is on my old phone including the pictures will they also be removed/deleted on my new phone? I recently upgraded from iPhone 6 to iPhone 12mini. If I reset the old phone and erase everything on it including the pictures will this affect my new phone in any way?

Resetting iPhone I want to reset one of my old working iPhones and let my daughter use it. When I got my new one, all the pictures/videos from the old one transferred over. If I reset the old phone, and "wipe" it, will those pictures be deleted from my new phone? I'm not sure how any of this Cloud or transfer stuff works...
