i do not want a covid tracker on my phone!!!!!!!!

how do we get the covid tracker off of our iphones???? i don't want this on my phone!!

you're probably referring to what apple & google worked together on.. I believe this just a way to give app developers the resources they need to make an app that would do covid tracing. If you haven't installed an app for this, then like Kirk/Tim are saying, there isn't any tracing going on. You can check your phone settings, privacy, health and you'll see an option up top for covid-19 exposure logging. If you have not installed an app that's doing this, you'll see that it says 'off'

Nope. It's not. All that's there is the API that allows developers to write secure tracing apps, and even that is disabled by default.


So long as you don't download and install a tracking app and activate the API in settings manually, there is not covid tracking on your phone.


If you're really worried about being tracked, consider this: Your cellular carrier knows where your device is at all times when it's turned on. It doesn't matter what kind of phone you have. This holds true for both smart and 'dumb' phones. Law enforcement and governments have easy access to that information. You are being tracked at all times. If you don't like that, then get rid of your cell phone permanently.
