Active calories vs. Total Calories
I understand the difference between the two. What I’m confused on is how Apple Watch is getting the figures. When I get up in the morning and am not wearing my watch yet (still on charger) the calories for both should be zero. I put the watch on and go for a run. Come back, take the watch off and wipe off my sweat, yuk. Upon checking the stats on my iPhone the active calories are lower than the total. But how can you determine total higher when the only time I had the watch on was while running. It cannot determine sitting, doing errands, etc. cause I was not wearing the watch other than running. Anyone know why in this instance the watch has 2 different figures?
