How to upgrade Macbook Pro 13 inch, late 2011 from OS X 10.9.5 to the latest OS?

Hi,

I have a Macbook Pro 13 inch from late 2011. I am currently on OS 10.9.5 and would like to update to the latest OS which I believe is OS Catalina. Can I do such an upgrade or is another upgrade recommended?

What steps must I follow to upgrade?

Thanks for your answer. Regards

Sure, I can help you, prban. Your MacBook Pro late 2011 will run El Capitan. It will not run Catalina, as the requirements for that are Mid 2012 or newer. Not officially anyways. Here's the link to El Capitan.....
