My problem has been solved!

Solution:

Look for an app that is 'Paused' then tap on it twice. It will then change to 'Waiting' and all of the apps will go back to normal.

Hi, I still have this problem.

I have tried restoring my iPad, updating individually and connecting to my pc, my apps still won't update and new apps won't download. I don't have the problem on my iPhone so it can't be the account or my wifi

Any ideas?? I'd be grateful for any help!

This should work:

Go to Settings>iCloud

If your account is listed as a mac.com account, delete the account and add a new account using me.com (instead of mac.com).

Enter your user name as me.com, and your password.

Your apps should continue installing.

I have all the same symptoms. Let me know if anything works for you. I've had to uninstall apps to do a sync in order to get the latest updates. I have an iPad 1 and eveything was good until 2 days ago. I'm going to try a complete restore to see if the issue is in iOS.

I had the same problem after stopping my Itunes sync. I did it through Itunes, but when I unhooked my Ipad there were like 20 apps frozen in waiting.

All I did was connect it to my mac, let the sync start up again, and when I came back an hour later everything was all good... Problem resolved... Hope this helps someone!

Had same problem last 24 hours - nothing seemed to work and I did not want to do a full factory reset!

i had the exact same problem for the last week with my ipad2...ever since updating to the new OS.. So, just now I followed another users post and it totally worked. It will take aout 10 mins. Trust me.

Go to settings, general, reset(all the way at the bottom) then choose reset all settings...

once the device is resets it will ask you if you want to sign in as a current user with your apple ID and password (dont create a new device).

You will be asked to set up your ipad through a series of questions...choose your wifi password...apply tour last icloud backup and restore the device.

Then the device will restart a cople of times and ...PRESTO... Your apps will all immediately start downloading like they always used to. Annoying problem solved forever.

AFter the above fix if you still have probs amd an app is stalling, turn off your wifi in settings... The app wll begin to download.. Just got off the phone with apple support.

Hi all, I have been having this problem too. As well as podcasts and films, also check your iTunes cloud match settings as mine was trying to download my entire music collection as match was set to off (it doesn't auto download through iTunes / syncing). Hope it helps too!

I was having this prob for the last week. I reset all my settings on the ipad and ALSO unplugged my wireless router (all plugs: cable, power cord etc) for2 mins then reconnect... There is some sort of connection error with the new OS and wifi where your wifi needs to reinitialize for it to connect effectively when downlading apps.

Agreed. I am having the same issue on my 4S. Specifically over wifi.

had same prob on 4, plugged it into pc and out again, played havoc with network on pc for a bit bit as soon as released updates started on iphone. hope it helps
