Setting up new phone that I upgraded to

I had an iPhone X and it started messing up so I put my SIM card in my daughter’s old 6 plus. I upgraded and got an 11 Pro Max. I just got it in and was manually setting it up. I put my SIM card back into the x( I don’t know if that matters or not) and I went through the steps on my new phone to transfer my last update to my new phone. It downloaded everything. I set up a number for my lock screen and it wanted to know what my lock screen code was for my old phone and I can’t remember because I had to change it right before it messed up. So it gave me the option of going to one of my other devices and signing into iCloud to approve the new phone and I don’t see where I can do that. The new phone is waiting for approval. What do I need to do? It has all of the information from my old phone but I cant call from it. Also, I already removed my old phone from my iCloud
