Display issue

I use 2016 Mack Book Pro non touch-bar two thunderbolt 13 inc lap. now a days it comes to small lines on bottom of the display and top on the display. After the showing this lines display going to blur and totally white screen. What is that?

Hello Roshan,


Try the following basic troubleshooting steps to rule any software related issue first -


  1. Reset SMC by following the directions applicable to your MacBook here ➔ How to Reset SMC. If that does not solve things then-
  2. Reset NVRAM/PRAM by following the directions applicable to your MacBook here ➔ How to Reset NVRAM/PRAM. If that does not solve things then-
  3. Enter ➔ Safe Mode and see if the screen issue still exists in Safe mode. Log out of Safe Mode and then reboot computer. If that does not solve things then-
  4. You can have your MacBook Pro examined at the Apple Store or an Authorized Service Center when they open or contact ➔ Apple Support


If steps 1 - 3 do not solve the issue then this may be related to a failing GPU, a failing Display or a failing cable that connects the GPU to the display.. I had to therefore include Step 4.
