Security update 2020 for High Sierra
A High Sierra security update (2020) is available for my iMac but will not update as it says you have a security update. Any suggestions how to break this circular problem.

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?
Try downloading the stand alone & installing while in Safe Mode..
