HDMI adapter

I have bought the apple adapter to connect my ipad to my tv to stream via HDMI. Picture is fine and quality is good. However, every 5 minutes or so, it freezes and I have to reload the app on my ipad which is really annoying. Any suggestions? When I disconnect the cables the stream is perfect on my ipad so it's nothing to do with the app I'm watching

Within a minute of movie or show starting it will stop, but only if HDMI/adaptor is connected. Movie/show will stream properly if I disconnect HDMI. Strange bug to video feed when connecting iPad Pro to TV view HDMI I tried to connect my new iPad Pro to my TV via HDMI cable. At first the iPad screen went dark and I had to do a forced restart. The second time I connected it the image showed up on the screen but it came with striating bars across the entire screen (see image below). I was using a PiAEiK multiadapter to connect the iPad to the TV. Any ideas what might be causing this issue? Is it the adapter that is messing thing up? Or could it be something else? I tested the adapter with my windows laptop and it works fine by the way.
