rode videomic macbook / imac

Hi everybody

I have a Rode VideoMic Pro

I have an adaptor from Amazon : https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B079PJL14Y/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_gZpaFbG2TZRWX

i've tried many combinations of headphones with or without mic built in and i just can't get the macbook or imac to recognise there is a mic connected.

Somebody must have done this before, surely?

My guess is that someone at Rode tech support may know the answer. Drop them an email or call.
