I'm attempting to create a Apple ID for my child but it will not allow me to use our family email domain ending in dot-us.

Three of our four family members already have valid Apple ID using our dot-us email domain.

Why can't I create a new Apple ID with our family email?

New Apple ID for family member My wife and I have been sharing my Apple ID for years now. It really hasn't been an issue. Only a minor hiccup here and there. Recently there have been more issues that we had to work through. Now that we're getting my daughter involved, I'm getting into the Family Sharing. I was able to set up a child account for her, no problem. I would like to set up a new Apple ID for my wife, but her email she uses says its not available because she is linked to mine. Is it possible to remove it somehow, and then use it to create a new ID with it, or would the new ID have to be an all new email address? I'd hate to have to create an address that she'll never otherwise use just for this. Any help would be appreciated.

It shows an error message stating I cannot use this email (applied.apple.com) or email address is invalid (iPhone).
