Can a 512 GB capacity hard drive be installed in a macbook pro that presently has a 250 GB capacity hard drivedrive

I have a MacBook Pro ( OS 10.15.5 Catalina ) with retina display. As I'm looking at the information for my macbook pro, it says "capacity - 250 GB. Is there any way to have that replaced with a 512 GB hard drive, I guess it is?

Thank you.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

If you go that route I recommend the 'Kit" because, in addition to the special screwdriver you'll need, it akso has an external drive enclosure make sit easy to clone your old drive to the new on before installing the new one.

OWC and Crucial SSDs seem to perform best in Macs.

You can do the work yourself. Apple won't do upgrades.
