Service centers outside the country of origin won't be obligated to honor it and may not be able to replace it with an unit functionally identical to the original; for iPhones originating from the European Economic Area or Switzerland, it'll be honored anywhere in the region.

I am very sorry but I am still a bit confused. Actually my region is China however I purchase iPhone from United States online, and I am considering of purchasing AppleCare now and I just realised my Apple ID also registered under US, in that case, if I purchase AppleCare now, services would be only available in US, is that correct?
