How can I unlock my iPhone if i know my Apple ID and my password but I forgot my passcode to unlock the phone

disabled phone I am trying to get into my disabled iphone 6s plus. I have gone thru itunes and it says itunes is downloaing the software for my phone then it stops and says my phone has a passcode and needs to be unlocked first.
