Vehicle Stolen. Can maps be used to find it?
What is the maximum distance Maps could detect a parked vehicle. A friend’s truck was stolen and I was wondering if he could use this to see where it’s parked.

the way Maps knows where you parked isn't because it's somehow tracking the vehicle.. it knows when you disconnect from Car Play or bluetooth and captures the location.

So unless the phone itself is still in the vehicle so the Find My iPhone could be used.. there is no help
