error message when trying to stream prime video using apple tv third generation

Trying to download and play prime video using third gen Apple tv. I can launch the app and select a show or movie but when I select PLAY it takes forever to download and then gives me this error message:

An error occurred loading this content. Try again later.

Any ideas?

Have tried to access prime video Settings menu but then I get

Problem occurred. There's a problem connecting to Prime Video. Most issues are temporary...
