Photostream on Mac not updating 10.15.5 Catalina

Hi,

I have a problem: since I updated to 10.15.5 the photostream on my mac is not syncing properly. On my iPhone new photos are showing up in the "Photostream" folder, so they get uploaded, but the mac is not syncing. I tried to turn photostream off and on again, rebooted the mac, closed all "photo" apps in the acitivity monitor, but still found to reliable solution.

Have you experienced the same problem? What else can I try to fix it?

Make sure your library is designated the System Photos Library in Photos' General preference pane.

Then, if needed, boot into Safe Mode (How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support) by booting with the Shift key held down, launch Photos and check there to see if the problem persists. If necessary toggle the My PhotoStream checkbox a couple of time. Reboot normally and test again.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 10 minutes as it's doing some system cache cleaning, volume verifying and directory repairing.

Log into another admin user account, Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac, and see if the problem persists. (This tells us if the problem is limited to your user account or is system wide).

Thank you very much!

It worked in the Safe Mode (although it seemed that the most current photos were not syncing), but back in Normal Mode it unfortunately didn't work.
