I have an Iphonex. While i am on a whats app call with someone, or a regular carrier call with someone, and i receive an incoming call over my carrier, the iPhone does not make the call waiting beep beep to alert me on my Air Pods that i have a call waiting. The screen does show the incoming call but there is no audible notification sometimes.
The regular calls are routed through Voice Line through PSTN (public switched telephone network) and WhatsApp is on internet protocol VoIP.
You voice line is not engaged because you are talking over Internet Protocol
However for call waiting on Voice Line and when your Voice Line is engaged...
Do you have call waiting enabled?
Does your carrier support call waiting?

i have call waiting enabled and My carrier support call waiting features. I am getting the call as waiting on the screen but beep sound is not coming in AirPods when I am in WhatsApp call! Meanwhile if I am on a regular call I can hear the beep notification for incoming WhatsApp call! Be aware that this was working well few months ago but not anymore
i have business and I have a lot of calls on WhatsApp with my clients at the same time it’s very bad to miss Regular calls from other customers Because the beep tone is not working
even the regular calls doesn’t vibrate on my Apple watch either
i called my phone carrier Company who confirm that it’s a problem to be solved by Apple
would you kindly look at the matter and find solutions
considering that I tried my sim on a Samsung device and beep notification for incoming calls was working properly confirming that the problem is an Apple issue
