Print to PDF on 10.15.5

Ever since I updated to 10.15.5, I started to have issues with print to pdf files.

I always use Microsoft excel to create spread sheet then print to pdf files. I can still do that, but I have some missing contents and spacing issues in-between all the text seems to be out of alignment. It seems like all my text in the document are squeeze till very close.

e.g. Chequespayment shouldbe crossed'A/C Payee'and madepayableto

U can see that the space between each word are removed. Even when underline the words, the last few letters will not be. underline. Not sure why is this happening.

I use the same excel file and do a print to pdf files on 10.14. I do not have this issue.

Any help?

I hadn't noticed any problems and I tested a spreadsheet of mine to check...

The spaces were preserved. See "Flowmeter after treatment"

Print to pdf is very useful.

Are you using latest format ".xlsx"?

Suggest you check there are no updates for Excel but preferably uninstallOffice and reinstall (big job I know)

BUT

If you can create a new Admin user account and test it there you can find out if it is a preference file problem in your ~/Library

You will need to give the new user account read access to the spreadsheet

I would

try to do it from apples spreadsheet app called numbers to see if it behave the same
try to do it from free office suit LibreOffice to see if it behave the same

don't really use mac excel but on normal ms word one can always save as and then choose pdf from the dropdownbox of formats one wish to save to

could this be a work around if it works in excel too ?

I also noticed you only installed Excel on its own, is that true?

Not impossible to purchase individually but unusual - is it a genuine licensed product?

I have done everything I can in my capacity. Save to Pdf from excel, print to pdf from the printer page. I really do not know why is this happening.

Latest excel has been updated. The worst case is I have 3 iMac, 2 of the same configuration and 1 is a newer iMac.

Somehow this issue only happens to 2 of my iMac including the newer iMac. I am even thinking of backing up my datas and format the entire iMac to see if this works.

This only happens after I upgrade to Catalina. This is so frustrating.

Just did a fresh reinstallation of the entire iMac with only excel installed. No luck. Print to PDF or save to pdf both will leads to all the text being squeeze together.

Any help??
