Apple Podcast Download Failed

Every time I try to download an episode from Apple podcast it keeps saying download failed after almost finishing the entire download.

i don’t want the app to download every new episode, so I’ve turned off that feature. I just want to download a specific episode. I’ve turned off the WiFi only download option but it still doesn’t work. Can someone help figure out what’s wrong?
