iMessage

I try to send an iMessage from my Mac to a contact with an iPhone. I cannot even compose the message. I can't get a cursor in the message box. I have to contact phone listed as an iPhone. What is wrong????

Hello, try this then let us know the outcome please..

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
