iMessage on Mac Only Going Through to Those with Apple Phones

When I send a text through iMessage on my Mac they are only going through to those with Apple devices. For those with other devices I get a message failure notice. When I text anyone from my phone I can see the messages have gone through on iMessage on the Mac. How do I fix this?

iMac 21.5″, macOS 11.4

Use Messages in iCloud

And on the iPhone >> Seeing >> Messages and enable Text Forwarding . While still on the iPhone make sure the Computer by its name is listed and Enabled for this feature to function.
