iPhone XS Max can't sync with MacBook in MacOS Catalina

I tried to sync my iPhone XS Max to my MacBook Air in MacOS Catalina but it couldn't read my iPhone XS Max, while it works fine for an another iPhone (iPhone 7 Plus). I'm wondering if my computer is able to read iPhone 7 Plus then why couldn't read a XS Max? How can I do that?

Hi larissaoreis,

Thanks for getting back to us with those details. Are you being prompted to trust the Mac you're using at any point during this process? If not, or it seems that the response isn't accepted, try these steps next:

"Get help

If you tap Trust or Don't Trust but doesn't accept your answer, or if the Trust alert won't appear, follow these steps. Try again after each:

    1. Make sure that your computer has the latest version of macOS or the latest version of iTunes
    2. Disconnect and reconnect your device from your computer.
    3. Restart your computer.
    4. Restart your device:
      1. iPhone
      2. iPad
      3. iPod touch
    5. Reset your Trust settings.

If the above steps don't help, go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset Network Settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you’ve used before.

If you downloaded iTunes for Windows from the Microsoft Store, make sure that iTunes Mobile Device Helper is enabled as a startup item.

If you still need help, contact Apple Support."
