Have you tried turning your volume to the highest setting? If so, it could most likely be a problem with Whatsapp on your device, rather than your iPhone especially if Whatsapp is the only place it is happening.

I'd advise to check for updates for Whatsapp in the App Store. If there is none, you should try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

If the issue persists, you'll need to contact Whatsapp directly for further assistance.
