Really loud ringer/call on headphones

How to adjust the ringer volume of beats headphones when wirelessly connected? It is extremely loud and it can be heard from across the room when the headphones are not on. Even if the iphone adjusts both volume and ringer volume to low, it is still loud through the headphones. Calls scare me when I have them on!
