You can buy it in person, but Apple will not ship to countries outside of US and shipping and billing address need to match.

From what I understand, there are now Apple authorized resellers in India - try a search for that.

By next year, first 'official Apple branded retail location' in India, should open. Saw that

in a news site. ~ In the interim, there have been authorized resellers and repair facilities

within India for several years; these independents, are local business representing Apple.

There are number of authorized apple dealers in India. Please check your location in apple website to look for autherzied dealers and service centers. Also you can use Amazon.com for online purchases. Always use authentic E commerce sites while ordering. There are a number of fake E commerce sites in India. Take care.
