MacOS vs Windows supporting HDR

The other day I was comparing my 2020 Base model MacBook Pro to a 4th Gen 12.9" iPad pro,

Both were running the same video,

But the colours were a bit washed out on the MacBook Pro, Further research suggested this was HDR,

I then installed Windows 10 via Boot Camp to find it had a HDR switch in settings, something MacOS didn't have,

Thus meaning the colours were far better on windows with HDR enabled,

Any one know why there is no option to turn on HDR via MacOS yet windows 10 on the same device had this option?
