Trouble uploading images from Photo's to other sites, e.g. Pinterest.

When I try to create a pin on Pinterest, it will not allow me to drag and drop but instead I can browse my computer to add it. If I open the photo's app, all of my images are there, including ones taken from my iphone. So when I go to choose a photo, it brings up a window for me to browse images. I click on Photo's and it will bring up a lot of them but not the latest ones. My iPhone says it is up to date and when I open the Photo's app the images are there, but they are missing when bringing up a selection window to add to Pinterest. Can anyone help.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

I believe what you're experiencing is that you have the iCloud Library enabled with Optimized Mac Storage. So when you click on an image to use it the full sized version has to be downloaded before you and use it in any project, edit it, print it or use it outside of the library.

If you're using this window in your browser then create an album and place it near the top of My Albums section in the sidebar so it easy to find the photo you want. Or you can create a smart album with this criteria (changing the number to fit your needs):

I have tried this but still experience the same problem, it will show in the photos app but when you try to select from browser it was not showing. I did discover last night that when I open a photo in the app I get a little countdown circle, if I wait for it to do the full circle it will then show up. Do you know if there is a simpler way then having to open every photo and wait for it to do its thing? These are all photos I have taken on my iPhone but then want to access on my laptop.
