Airpod pro case battery is terrible

My AirPod Pro's are about 2 or 3 months old and I am regretting spending the money on these things.

The case battery life is horrific, I get maybe a day or two out of it. My original Airpods, I could get a week easily from them. My usage habits of the Airpods themselves have not changed from the original to the Pro's. Is this expected for them?
