My Apple 4K TV (13.4.6) won't display lyrics anymore when playing songs from music app ( iTunes).
I've checked all settings and restrictions are off. This is also happening on my daughter's apple 4K tv at her house, so it's not my device. I suspect it broke after the last apple iOS update. It used to work fine.

There is a lyrics On|Off button (icon like a small speech balloon) when you click the currently playing track, and the additional controls come on the screen. Verify that it is On.
Lyrics is part of Apple Music. It wouldn’t be available anymore if you canceled that subscription.

BINGO! My apply music subscription expired. Interesting that I didn't get any notifications telling me this. THAT would have been helpful.

Works fine for me, so I don't believe it's a result of updated software.
Have you drilled down far enough to the individual track on display?
Have you tried restarting the Apple TV?
