Stuck in bootloop after trying to downgrade to iOS 13.5

Hi! I’m not sure if a topic has been made about this already but I recently got the iOS 14 beta to try it out. I decided that it seemed a bit buggy so I tried to downgrade to iOS 13.5 but the device has gotten stuck into a boot loop. I have tried forcing it into recovery mode by holding down the sleep/wake button and the home button, but that simply turns it off without getting the computer logo and Lightning cable when it’s successful. Is there anyway I can fix this without going to an Apple store to repair it as it’s a 6s Plus.

It wouldn't let me edit my original post but thank you so much Lawrence Finch! It seemed that the link you sent has helped me fix the phone. I must've not been holding the sleep/wake button and home button long enough for it to enter DFU (other articles didn't state how long to do it), but it was tricky trying to do it. It began to do the loop restart as iTunes was extracting the software and all which made me have to put it into DFU mode again. I've bookmarked that page for future reference. I think it's best I don't try to use that program ever again.

Thank you so much for the reply! I was trying to downgrade with another program called “3uTools” which I used to get the beta of iOS 14 (now that I think about it, it probably wasn’t a good idea). I tried to upload my backup through that program but it would say it failed so I thought I would try to put iOS 13.5 on it first then restore the backup. I unfortunately do not have a Mac running Catalina but I will have one running Lion, but I doubt that’ll fix it.

Yes, bad idea indeed! It appears that you downloaded and installed an illegal copy of the iOS 14 beta as the public release is still pending. As such, these releases could potentially render your phone useless and make it difficult, if not impossible, to recover from.

Perform the Following:

1. Restoring your iPhone:

How are your trying to downgrade it? Do you have a backup of sorts of it? If so, restore from it.

Restore from either:

2. Restore to Factory Settings:

If you have no backup, then restore the iOS to Factory Settings.

3. Update to iOS 13 or iPadOS:

Once restored to Factory Settings, update your iOS to v. 10.13 (not 10.14)

4. Recover Contacts and All:

After the update, all would be recovered (Contact calendar, apps, etc.), but it would take a day or so for all to complete.

If that is of no success, then contact Apple Support:

Contacting Apple Support:

Note: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due do lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)
