Forwarding SMS/Text from Messages on MacBook

How do I forward an SMS from Messages on my MacBook? I thought I could control-click, but it is not bringing up an option to forward?

forwarding Mac Messages? I am on a Mac. Many correspondents are on iPhones. Their texts appear in my Messages application. If I want to send one correspondent's text to another correspondent, I can do a copy and paste. But forwarding in email is easy Does the Messages application in OSX have a similar forwarding function? I have not found it. (I asked this question three years ago, and the answer was No. I hope that something has changed, but I cannot find any forwarding tool in Messages.)

In order to forward SMS messages from your MacBook, you will need an iPhone.
