"Text message forwarding" in the new OS15

How do you access "Text message forwarding" in the new OS15? It is not one of the choices and now when I'm on my desktop, the messages are going under my Apple ID, and NOT my phone number, so they are getting mixed up for the recipients of the texts.

I see it under Settings>Messages about halfway down.

Does the option not show up for you?

I also have this problem and the option just isn’t there. My messages are no longer syncing between iPhone and iPad.
