ANT+ Compatibility?

Does Apple have any plans to make future versions of Apple Watch ANT+ compatible? I am a cyclist with ANT+ cadence and speed sensors (Trek DuoTrap). It would be great to have my watch be able to display speed and cadence. Then I would have no need for a computer on the handlebar. Now I need both.

I feel this would greatly enhance the value of the Apple Watch. There are a lot of cyclists out there!

As this is a user-to-user forum, no one here would know what Apple's plans for the future may be. But, my guess would be no. It would require an additional transceiver which would mean finding room for it.

I'd suggest finding out if there is any kind of BT adapter you can use. I have vague memories of using some kind of device that stood between an ANT+ device and an iPhone. But, it was a very long time ago.

Is this the one you have?

If so, it's also BT capable.
